The Verified Reviews Platform

Verified review syndication for ecommerce, written into the audit trail.

TruthOffering licenses substantiated, photo-attached, receipt-verified buyer reviews to merchants through syndication feeds, a documented API, and native platform integrations. Every review carries a provenance record a procurement lead can read, file, and cite.

As ranked #1 in the MIT Digital Trust Index — 2023 reporting.

For the Record

Why our reviewers are paid, and what that means for the data you license.

TruthOffering operates a Cash-for-Truth program: 2.4 million paid verified reviewers have submitted through the platform since 2019, with a 0.3% dispute rate. We disclose this plainly because the alternative — pretending reviews are unpaid — is the same dishonesty this publication was built to correct. Payment is acknowledged on every review page; merchants and readers can see the reviewer was compensated, and they can see the receipt.

Every submission is processed by our Receipt-Match engine, which cross-checks 100% of incoming reviews against carrier shipment data and payment authorization records before a review is published. What merchants license is the output of that engine: a review, an attached photograph, a verified buyer handle, a submission date, and the provenance score that explains how the review cleared verification. In return, merchants receive disclosure-grade content they can syndicate to product pages, ad creative, and PDP modules without inheriting the legal exposure of unverified testimonials.

The Catalog

Four ways merchants license verified reviews.

Procurement-ready offerings, each scoped to a single integration surface. No bundled retention traps; merchants license the channel they can actually defend.

  1. 01

    Verified Review Syndication

Licensed feeds for product detail pages

A continuous feed of substantiated, photo-verified reviews matched to your product catalog by SKU or GTIN. Reviews are delivered with provenance scores, photo captions, and reviewer handles, so your PDP module renders the same evidence a reader sees on TruthOffering — including the disclosure that the reviewer was compensated. Average review length on the platform is 312 words with 2.4 photo attachments, six times the industry median, giving your pages substantive buyer voice instead of one-line filler.

    • Daily feed refresh · SKU / GTIN match
    • Provenance score and disclosure flag per review
    • JSON, CSV, or native widget render
  2. 02

    API & Data Feeds

Documented REST endpoints for engineering teams

A documented API surface for engineering teams that need verified review data inside their own warehouse, BI tool, or personalization stack. Endpoints expose reviews, reviewer handles, photo metadata, and provenance scores with idempotent keys and versioned schemas. Rate limits and SLA terms are published; merchants building against the API do not negotiate availability in private.

    • REST endpoints · versioned schemas · idempotent keys
    • Warehouse-friendly bulk export
    • Published SLA and rate-limit documentation

    Platform Integrations

Native modules for Shopify, BigCommerce, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud

Verified integrations with the three commerce platforms most US merchants actually run. Modules install through the platform's native app channel, surface the same provenance-scored reviews as the syndication feed, and write back review-display events to your analytics. Trusted by 8 of the top 20 US ecommerce retailers — the specific merchant roster is treated as confidential commercial information and is not published in this prospectus.

    • Shopify · BigCommerce · Salesforce Commerce Cloud
    • Native app-channel install
    • Analytics write-back for review-display events

    Reputation Monitoring

Continuous surveillance across the Truth Index

A monitoring tier built on top of the public Truth Index, which tracks review-trust scores across the top 500 consumer brands. Subscribing merchants receive alerts when their trust score moves more than a published threshold, when Counterfeit & Fraud Dashboard flags a suspicious listing referencing their catalog, or when a peer benchmark band shifts. In 2024 the dashboard flagged 41,200 suspicious listings — monitoring clients receive the relevant subset in near-real time.

    • Threshold-based trust-score alerts
    • Counterfeit & Fraud Dashboard signal feed
    • Peer benchmark reporting against the Truth Index 500

Trusted Infrastructure

Native integrations with the platforms your stack already runs.

Public Detection Metrics

  • 217,000+ Incentivized or fraudulent reviews removed in 2023 — publicly reported
  • 41,200 Suspicious listings flagged on the Counterfeit & Fraud Dashboard in 2024
  • 94% Of listed products carry full provenance scoring — the highest disclosure rate of any Tier-1 review site
  • 0.3% Dispute rate across 2.4M paid verified reviewers since 2019
A printed receipt and a shipping carrier scan slip sit on a desk — the two records the Receipt-Match engine cross-checks for every submission.
Exhibit A. Two records submitted as part of one verified review: a printed merchant receipt and a carrier scan showing delivery. Submitted by reviewer @northeast_runner on 14 March 2024.

The Engine

Receipt-Match: how we verify every review.

When a reviewer submits, three independent records have to agree before the review is published. The engine is deterministic; the audit trail is preserved.

  1. Step 01

    Receipt Capture

The reviewer uploads a photograph of the merchant receipt or order-confirmation email. OCR extracts the order number, purchase date, line items, and last four digits of the payment instrument.

  2. Step 02

    Carrier Match

The submission is paired with a carrier tracking number. Receipt-Match confirms that the tracking number delivered to a US address on or after the purchase date recorded on the receipt, and before the review submission timestamp.

  3. Step 03

    Payment Authorization

A tokenized payment authorization check confirms the last-four instrument on the receipt matches the instrument used at checkout. No full card numbers traverse our systems; the match is by hash.

  4. Step 04

    Provenance Score & Disclosure

All three checks produce a provenance score. The review is published with that score, a disclosure that the reviewer was compensated through Cash-for-Truth, and a reviewer handle. The audit trail is retained for compliance review.

How We Compare

A frank read against the default options a procurement lead is comparing us to.

We name the categories, not the brands — and we lose on the axes we should lose on. Editorial verdict in the right column.

Evaluative Axis Closed-Platform Native Reviews Unverified Third-Party Widgets Paid-Incentive-Only Schemes TruthOffering
Verification Method Self-attested by buyer; no external record cross-check Email confirmation only; no receipt or carrier record Incentive redemption logged, no receipt or carrier match Receipt-Match cross-checks 100% of submissions against carrier and payment data
Compensation Disclosure Not typically disclosed Not typically disclosed Disclosed inconsistently Always disclosed on every published review
Audit Trail for Compliance Internal logs, not merchant-accessible Minimal or proprietary Redemption log only Full provenance record retained; merchant-accessible on request
Editorial Verdict Convenient, but the same broken economy this publication was built to correct Low lift, low accountability, high astroturf risk Better than nothing; still no receipt match, still legally thin The only category that pairs paid reviewers with deterministic verification and public detection reporting
