The Milgram Experiment: Why People Willingly Perform Horrific Acts

Throughout the history of mankind, man has committed countless egregious acts against his own kind. The 20th century alone was a perfect example of this nature; a century littered with mass genocides. We all know the names: Hitler, Mao, Stalin...and there are countless more. But what almost no one ever mentions when discussing these evil men, is how the average man enabled and ultimately carried out these atrocities. It wasn't Mao who single-handedly murdered upwards of 60 million Chinese; it wasn't Hitler who personally killed as many as 12 million Jews. No, it was average men who performed these vile tasks.

But how do the Hitlers, Stalins and Maos of the world coerce normal people into becoming murderers? As you read this, you're surely sitting there thinking, "Good Lord, I could never! It's not possible!" And we hear the same argument whenever anti-big government people mention how big government can turn on its people and commit horrendous acts against them. "That could never happen in America!" they say. And they're right, right!?

Wrong. And to believe otherwise is to believe in the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. Wake up! The US soldiers presently fighting in our armed forces are, on a daily basis, manipulated into killing innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan. Do you think that manipulation couldn't be duplicated for use against US citizens? I hope you're not that naive. And this commentary isn't here to insult you, but to snap you out of the false reality we've all been led to believe is real.

Remember the Cycle of Tyranny?:

Right now, we're in between "Complacency" and "Dependence." And in case the visual isn't enough of an illustration, this is a bad place to be. If history is any barometer -- and it always is -- it won't be long until we're living under a tyranical form of government. The only difference between what we face and what has gone on in history, is that what we face is global governance and, therefore, global tyranny under global oligarchical rule.

Have you heard of the Milgram Experiment? The below article from Jeff Riggenbach explains, in detail, the Milgram Experiment, but here is how Milgram himself described the experiment:

"[It was] a simple experiment ... to test how much pain an ordinary citizen would inflict on another person simply because he was ordered to by an experimental scientist. Stark authority was pitted against the subjects' strongest moral imperatives against hurting others, and, with the subjects' ears ringing with the screams of the victims, authority won more often than not."

Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth

With the anniversary of September 11 upon us, I thought it'd be apropos to post some info about 9/11 that many of you may never have seen. There's a great 9/11 website called "Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth"; it's a consortium of experts in the fields of architecture and engineering that are trying to expose the plain truth about the 9/11 attacks. With ample evidence to support their claims, they argue that the three buildings that fell on 9/11 were destroyed, not by jet impact and fires, but by controlled demolition with explosives. Their goal is to finally trigger a truly open and independent investigation into the events of 9/11 so we can discover the truth about that day's attacks.

After watching a number of documentaries about 9/11, all of which present a strong case for reopening the investigation on what actually happened that day (these docs are listed in our "Must See Documentaries" list on the right), it's hard not to feel like our government doesn't want us to know the truth. As it stands, our government is faced with irrefutable evidence that demands the reopening of the investigation, yet there is no movement to do so. Why? Seems to me there must be something to hide.

In our article, "I Don't Mean to HAARP," we discussed, among other things, the many conflicts of interest littering our government's recent past. One such conflict took place with the 9/11 Commission; a commission appointed by then-president George W. Bush. First, it should be known that many members of the Bush administration were Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) members, including Dick Cheney, Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice. As we've discussed in some of our articles, the CFR purports to simply be a foreign relations think tank with no political power. However, if we dig deeper, we find a 1954 Congressional Report (Tax Exempt Foundations Report, 83rd Congress, 2nd Session) which states that the CFR, "...came to be, in essence, an agency of the United States government.....There can be no doubt that much of the thinking in the State Department and much of the background of direction of its policies come from the personnel of.....The Council on Foreign Relations."

Furthermore, according to the book, "None Dare Call It Conspiracy," by Gary Allen, the CFR has admitted their goal, "...is to abolish the Constitution and replace our once independent Republic with a world government." And it goes even deeper; for more, read our article, "Does Your Vote REALLY Count?"

So with all this in mind, does it seem like President Bush's appointment of Thomas H. Kean (chairman), Lee Hamilton, Jamie Gorelick, Bob Kerrey, and John F. Lehman -- all CFR members -- to the 11-member 9/11 Commission might be a conflict of interest? If 9/11 were an inside job, as some have suggested, do you think these men -- CFR brethren -- would have allowed that information to surface? As with every recent presidential administration, conflicts of interest abound (most of President Obama's nominees for the various positions in his Administration are CFR members).

Now be sure to read the below information from Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, all of which is absolutely stunning:

GMOs: Killing Us Softly

The war against Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) being forced into our food supply by multi-national mega corporations has only just begun. More accurately, we're just now waking up to realize a war on our health was waged against us years ago, and we've got an uphill battle ahead of us to save our selves and our environment. What's to come won't be easy, but few things in the history of mankind have been so necessary.

At present, over 70% of all groceries in our Supermarkets contain GMOs (GM corn and soy have invaded almost all processed food products). So, if you're not buying organic, chances are you're consuming lots and lots of genetically modified foods. The problem with that is that seemingly every day, a new study is released that shows just how bad GMOs are for humans. Each and every time you eat something containing GMOs, you're taking part in what is easily the largest human test trial the world has ever seen. Hundreds of millions -- scratch that -- billions of people, the world over, are eating genetically modified foods, and the vast majority have no idea.

As an aside, GMO-producing companies like Monsanto and DuPont are ruining the lives and livelihood of farmers around the world with their predatory and evil business practices (more on that in the Mercola.com below). And speaking of farming, it's getting more and more difficult to keep organic crops separate from GMO-tainted crops because of the nature of how seeds are spread. GMO crops have invaded nearby organic crops, making it difficult to completely avoid GMOs. It seems it may be best to just avoid the most prevalent GM crops, like corn and soy.

Those who blame Capitalism are as misguided as those who blame the government and their lack of regulations. The answer lies in the collusion between corporations, like Monsanto, and our government. Monsanto and other Big Agra./Big Chem. companies lobby Washington for more leniant regulations by lining politicians' pockets with lots of money. This has nothing to do with Capitalism, and everything to do with Corporatism, whereby corporations run the show because they're allowed to by corrupt politicians.

This is what America has become. And until politicians are no longer allowed to accept money from corporations (I recommend a separation between Public and Private sectors, similar to the separation between Church and State), we will suffer at the hands of the corrupt. This includes the theft of our liberty, the theft of our wealth, and, it turns out, the theft of our health.

The GMO discussion gets even scarier, so be sure to check out this great article from Dr. Mercola:

The Truth About Real Estate

I have a few friends who are in the real estate business; friends who may very well be reading this post. On numerous occasions, I've had conversations with them about where they believe the market is headed, and invariably they cite history as their justification for claiming an uptick in sales must be around the corner. After all, the history they're referring to dictates that the real estate market is cyclical and that just about every five years, things get back on track.

"Yeah, but," I say. "What we're facing today is unprecedented. You can't look at the past fifty years as your guide."

And the reason I say "fifty years" is that the US Census Bureau has only been keeping track of housing data since 1965. So, really I'm being generous; it's only been 45 years. And over the past 45 years, nothing like what we're facing at present has happened. Sure there have been ups and downs, like during the 70s and early 80s, but nothing like this Great Recession.

But as a Real Estate agent -- someone who has put their professional effort into selling homes -- you obviously cling to hope; hope that the market will rebound. Well, I'm afraid, it's not going to this time, amigos. At least, not for a looong time. There are just too many dominoes yet to fall.

Let's take a quick look at a few of them:

  1. Unemployment: common sense will tell ya that it's hard to sell a house to a guy who has no job. This month's unemployment reports have just been released and the rate has jumped from 9.5% to 9.6%...even though the truth is much worse (including marginally attached workers it's 16.7%, but likely even worse). And yet unemployment is set to increase as the artificial tampering of government bureaucrats begins to backfire, as it always does. The free market is the only thing that can create wealth and prosperity for the masses, not government. They do quite the opposite.
  2. High Home Inventory: this is basic supply and demand stuff; when there are lots of something and not too much demand, the value of that item must go down in order to meet demand. With the large number of foreclosures occuring all over the nation, the supply of homes is increasing. Yet with high unemployment set to go higher, it's not looking good for home sales.
  3. Interest Rates: Right now, interest rates are abnormally low. But in order to eventually correct the mess we're in, rates must go higher. This is where Keynesian economics really screws us all. See, Keynes believed that by artificially setting interest rates, we could stave off booms and busts. However, booms and busts are impossble to alleviate; they're a natural part of economics. By artificially fixing interest rates, malinvestment becomes the norm, and that makes booms and busts much more epic; hence the great boom and coming great bust of real estate and the US economy as a whole. Free markets should set the interest rate via the direct competition between business entities, the supply of an item and the demand for it by the consumer. Artificial economic tampering by a small group of men who think they know more than the rest of us -- the Fed -- can only make matters worse. With interest rates left with nowhere to go but up, it's not looking good for real estate sales.
  4. Deflation: by no means is this certain, but it seems like we may face a period of deflation, i.e. a period marked by a decrease in the general price level of goods and services. Sounds good, though, right? If everything's cheaper, you can buy more. Well, no...because deflation also leads to a decrease in workers' wages. This is particularly bad because your debt does not change. Your income goes down, but what you owe creditors remains the same. So if we hit a period of deflation for an extended amount of time, foreclosures would skyrocket as debtors could no longer afford their mortgage payments. This would mean more supply and less demand.
  5. End of First-Time Home Buyer Tax Credit: now that this program is over, where does our motivation come from to purchase real estate? Even with interest rates as close to zero as any of us will ever see them, people just aren't taking the risk. Why? Because they have no idea where we're headed. The American dream of a home, two-car garage and white picket fence is all but over. People are waking up to the reality that home ownership is really a make-the-rich-even-richer scheme. Here's a simple example: if you purchase a home for $200,000 with a 30-year fixed rate mortgage at 6.00%, you'll end up paying more than two times the actual price of the home (roughly $431,677) when all is said and done. Does that make sense to you?
  6. Government Unpredictability: much has been made over the fact that businesses aren't taking risks or moving to add employees right now because of the fact that government regulators are so unpredictable; you never know when they may create some new, prosperity-killing tax measure. So, businesses are hoarding their cash in case it gets ugly. Well, many real estate investors are doing the same thing because there are many pieces of proposed and soon-to-be-proposed pieces of legislation coming down the pike. There are even whispers of removing the ability of the homeowner to write-off mortgage interest payments as a way to generate more tax revenue. If that happens, I honestly don't know who would buy a home if they can't just pay cash for it up front. What's the incentive? Renting is far cheaper in most markets if that write-off is removed.

So, folks, it's not looking too good for the real estate market. The bottom is a ways off, to be sure. For more great info about what's the come in real estate, check out the following article from Casey's Daily Dispatch:

The Gulf Oil Spill: Our Government Corexit

Corexit: for oil spills what brooms are for sweeping filth under the rug.You guys know what Corexit is, right? If not, here ya go: "Corexit is a product line of solvents primarily used as a dispersant for breaking up oil slicks."

So the idea is to spray Corexit onto an oil slick, which breaks down the oil and allows it to disperse, thereby making it less of an eye sore. Well, the problem is, it doesn't just disappear.

Instead, it becomes more intertwined with the ocean water, making it even more harmful to wildlife.

But don't let that little detail bother you, because on the bright side, at least it doesn't look so ugly now.

Plus now the animals that die aren't all covered in gobs of oil; now they die quietly and oil-slick-free, so it's less effectual at pulling at our heart strings. Now we can move on with life.

Well, no, we can't...at least not if we care about our own health. See, Corexit is toxic to all life. And guess what happens to ocean water?

You got it, folks: it ends up in our rain! Well, what happens when rain hits the ground? It seeps into our land and ends up in our ground water. So ultimately, when the ocean becomes polluted by toxic chemicals like Corexit, it doesn't stay relegated to the ocean; it does impact us.

But the Hydrologic cycle doesn't even take into account the fact that most of us consume food that is caught in the ocean. Everything from fish and shrimp, to lobster, clams and oysters come from the deep blue sea, much of which is contaminated by human-created pollution. So the pollution cycle always ends with us. We are our own worst enemy!

As I write this, a brand-new oil disaster may be developing. Another oil rig -- this one owned by Mariner Energy -- has just exploded, and is now leaking oil into the gulf. It's still too soon to tell just how much oil is leaking, but rest assured, Corexit will come to the rescue.

I also have a hard time figuring out why we'd want to use a dispersant during an oil spill; I mean, from a moral perspective. Seems to me it'd be far easier to clean up when you can see the oil. A dispersant just makes it all disappear from view...but I suppose that's ideal for BP and for our government. People forget once the tragedy is no longer visible, and that's best for BP and Uncle Sam. Yet Corexit is popping up all over the place (see here and here)!

People need to get outraged. People need to snap out of their slumber of sloth and ignorance. This comfy-cozy reality we're drifting through is about to end. Our economy is crumbling before our very eyes and the Fed can't stop it. Our government is enacting more and more regulations that steal our liberties away. Prosperity for the common man is a thing of the past. And here are BP and our government ruining our ocean water.

What's it gonna take to wake people up? Maybe the following article and video will help...I know they upset me!

Our Latest Poll - Week Ending 8/29/10

Our latest poll asked the question, "Do you think legalizing drugs would decrease drug-related crime in the same way the end of prohibition did with alcohol-related crime?"

As an aside, legalizing drugs does not mean we condone that behavior. Quite the contrary, in fact. As an example, does the fact that smoking is legal mean we approve of it as a society? I would argue the answer is "no," seeing as more and more people are repulsed by smokers.

If illegal drugs were made legal, private, not-for-profit organizations would spring up all over the nation in an effort to educate children about the harmful effects of drugs. People would become even more educated and aware.

I could go on and on, but instead, I'll just show you the results:

The Food Police Are Coming

It's becoming more and more apparent what's the come: we will no longer have freedom to choose what we eat. Good ol' Uncle Sam and his band of merry men will instead make those kind of choices for us. After all, we're a bunch of morons; how could we possibly discern what is good and bad for us. I mean, you've seen the food pyramid...these guys know what they're doing. We should just hand over control.

With the recent egg recalls, food has become a hot topic. Just a few days ago, 8500 lbs. of ground beef was recalleddue to fears of E. coli contamination. This on the heels of the recall of over 550 million eggs where 2,000 or so people fell ill due to salmonella contamination.

Could all this attention have anything to do with the bill that's currently in the Senate (S 510)? Are these recalls simply false flag events being used to manipulate public opinion?

Your first reaction might be that I'm crazy! But I'm not suggesting our government has created these food contaminations; I'm suggesting they're just looking harder to find them right now. Government, after all, has an agenda. If there's a bill in the congress that the powers-that-be want passed, they'll find a way to use their power to get that bill passed.

If they want public support for a food bill that isn't good for our health freedom, but is great for government growth and growth of government power, they'll put the wheels in motion to create public support. How better to do that than scare people into believing that without the government's help, they'll become sick whenever they sit down for a meal?

S. 510 was introduced in the Senate in March of 2009. Since then, there have been countless food recalls, many of which have made headlines. I believe it's all propaganda and spin to get you to give government more power over you.

I'm not okay with that. Are you?

I consume raw milk, dairy, eggs and meat on a daily basis, yet suffer no ill effects. Why? Because I get my food from small, local farms where no pesticides, growth hormones, or antibiotics are used. They also don't irradiate, therefore killing, their products. When I get my food, it's in its most healthful form.

But S. 510 will kill the sort of small farms that supply the truly healthy food to consumers. Big government legislation always kills the little guy by placing demands upon them that are so expensive that only the big businesses can survive. Do you want to only be able to get chicken from Tyson who pumps their birds full of growth hormones and antibiotics? Who irradiates their eggs to ensure no salmonella is present, even though it's only present to begin with because of their inhumane, dirty and deplorable processing conditions?

S. 510 is bad for you and good for Big Government and Big Agra. Make sure to read the below article from C4L...and write your congressmen to let them know you oppose S. 510.

Fahrenheit 451

I know Rad Bradbury because of one book, and one book alone: "Fahrenheit 451." And although he has written many other books, this is a brilliant little novel with the impact of a mile-wide meteor.

Written over 57 years ago, this work of fiction is even more relevant today than it was when it was created. Bradbury was clearly a visionary, like Orwell (1984) and Richter (Pictures of a Socialist Future) before him. "Fahrenheit 451" paints a bleak, sad picture of what could be to come. In this work of fiction, the masses have stopped reading, favoring state-produced televised programming to provide entertainment. And those who have continued to read are the target of a futuristic witch hunt where firemen no longer put out fires, but instead ignite them, torching homes where books are found. Those guilty of reading and owning books are dealt with.

This book's protagonist is one of these firemen: Guy Montag. Montag is just like everyone else when the book begins; his brain has been washed of his own thought, filled, instead, with state-created propaganda. Montag is a fireman and he loves starting fires, cleaning the world of the evil books! But through a series of unexpected events, Montag begins to question why these books are being burned. It leads him down a path of discovery, tragedy and hope.

As the below article details, Bradury doesn't vilify the state entirely; the book clearly depicts the masses as being just as guilty, accomplices in the loss of their liberty. People want to be safe and are willing to give up their liberty for safety, even though it's not possible. This mistake has been made time and time again by people the world over, throughout history.

"Those that would give up essential liberty for a bit of security deserve neither and lose both."
- Ben Franklin

If you haven't read "Fahrenheit 451," do yourself a favor and grab a copy. It's a brilliant book that paints a vivid picture of a horrific alternate future reality. And to be honest, it makes me want to be all the more vigilant about maintaining the liberties we have left today. Why? Because there's absolutely no reason the terrible alternate reality Bradbury painted in this book couldn't become our actual reality.

The people of the Weimar Republic never dreamed they'd be transformed over a couple decades into Nazi Germany. The people of Russia had no clue the Bolshevik Revolution would transform their nation into genocidal hellhole. The entire loss of liberty has happened time and time again throughout history. If we aren't careful, our once glorious America could go down in history as the next nation to perish at the hands of mass ignorance.

What In the World Are They Spraying!?

What in the world are they spraying!?Look up in the sky!

It's a bird!

It's a plane!

No, it's a chemtrail...and it may be killing you.

Problem is, no one really knows. Why? Because the government isn't answering any questions about it. It's as if it's not really happening, even though these chemtrails cover the skies above us every single day. So why aren't they talking about it?

There's a new documentary coming out -- hopefully soon -- called "What In the World Are They Spraying!?" The film is being co-produced by G. Edward Griffin, author of "The Creature From Jekyll Island," "The Fearful Master," "World Without Cancer," and countless other books and documentaries that shed light on important issues others don't even acknowledge. Here's the trailer:

After watching this trailer, even I, who has read quite a bit about chemtrails, wasn't aware of one scary connection: Big Agra companies, like Monsanto and DuPont, are creating GMO crop seeds that are specifically designed to be resistant to harmful elements like Aluminum, which is the main element that is raining down from above as government douses us with chemtrail contaminants. Turns out, the contaminants in chemtrails are making it more and more difficult to grow normal, healthy, natural crops. So more and more, farmers are turning to Big Agra monsters like Monsanto in order to get seeds that will grow.

Our air is being polluted with chemicals and heavy metals and our crops are being altered so that they're more virulent. We're now breathing in poisonous air and eating poisonous foods; specifically the very foods we need to remain healthy. How do you suspect this will end for human kind?

Could Dr. Rima Laibow be right? Is this all part of the WHO/FAO's Codex Alimentarius plan? Will billions of the world's inhabitants be quietly murdered through the air they breath and the food they eat? Seems like a brilliant way to rid the planet of people, if that's your agenda. The problem is that until people look up and ask, "What in the world are they spraying!?" no questions will ever be answered. Right now, chemtrails are a conspiracy theory. We must change that, because the fact is it's no theory at all...but people are asleep.
